The Teltonika TRM282 is a compact industrial 4G modem with global frequency band support, powered by the proven Telit Cat 4 module. With dual interfaces (USB Type-C and RS232), it connects both modern IT infrastructure and legacy devices to mobile networks. Integrated GNSS and digital I/O expand the range of applications across energy, industry, retail and smart city deployments.

Global LTE Connectivity

The TRM282 supports 4G LTE Cat 4 with download speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s and falls back automatically to 3G (42 Mbit/s). The broad frequency spectrum from B1 to B28 makes the device suitable for worldwide deployment, compatible with virtually all mobile network operators.

Dual Interfaces: USB-C and RS232

USB Type-C handles both power supply (5V, 3A from the host) and data communication as a virtual network interface. The RS232 port enables direct connection of legacy devices and industrial equipment. Drivers for Windows 7/8/10/11, Linux 5.8 and Android 11 to 15 are available out of the box.

Integrated GNSS and DI/DO

The integrated GNSS module adds positioning functionality, accessible via the dedicated SMA antenna connector. Digital input and output (via the 4-pin power connector) allow direct connection of sensors, actuators and alarm systems to the device.

Power Supply and Housing

The TRM282 is powered either via the 4-pin DC input (9 to 30 VDC, with overvoltage and reverse polarity protection) or via USB Type-C. The aluminum housing (83 x 25 x 85.8 mm, 171 g) supports DIN rail, wall and flat surface mounting, and is rated for operating temperatures from -40 to +65 degrees C.

The TRM282 is comprehensively certified for worldwide use. In addition to CE and UKCA for Europe, it holds FCC and IC for North America as well as CB, RCM, EAC and UCRF for additional markets.
