The Teltonika RUT981 is a compact, rugged 4G LTE industrial router for worldwide deployment. Equipped with a Telit Cat 4 modem, Dual SIM plus eSIM, four Ethernet ports and RutOS Linux, it delivers reliable connectivity for industrial automation, energy, smart city and retail.

Cellular and connectivity

Global 4G LTE Cat 4 with up to 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink, 3G and 2G fallback. Dual SIM (auto-switch on signal loss, data limit, roaming) plus consumer eSIM with up to 7 profiles enable worldwide provider management without on-site visits.

Wi-Fi and Ethernet

Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) with 2x2 MIMO, up to 100 concurrent clients, mesh, fast roaming and WPA3. One WAN port and three LAN ports at 10/100 Mbps including auto MDI/MDIX. LAN1 supports passive PoE Mode B.

Industrial integration

One digital input and one digital output on the 4-pin power connector (8-30 V high) for control and event detection. Native support for Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, OPC UA, DLMS/COSEM, MQTT, SNMP and Data to Server. VPN: OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, L2TP, ZeroTier, Tailscale.

Management and security

Remote Management System (RMS) for central device administration, FOTA, TR-069, firewall, VLAN, 802.1x, TPM and certificate manager. The router runs RutOS based on OpenWrt.

Aluminium housing, operating temperature -40 to +65 deg C, 9 to 30 VDC with reverse polarity and surge protection. Dimensions 110 x 50 x 100 mm, weight 268 g.
