Products description
Teltonika RUTX11 (RUTX11240000), industrial LTE Cat 6 router with Dual SIM, WiFi 5, Bluetooth and GNSS
The RUTX11 is the all-rounder among Teltonika Networks' industrial cellular routers. It reliably connects machines, control cabinets, branch offices and vehicles to the internet, including locations without a fixed line or where an existing line needs a backup. The order number RUTX11240000 designates the EMEA version with eSIM and TPM, including an EU power supply.
Cellular and Failover
The Category 6 LTE module uses carrier aggregation to reach up to 300 Mbit/s downlink and 50 Mbit/s uplink, with a 3G fallback of up to 42 Mbit/s if needed. Two SIM card slots and the integrated eSIM with up to seven profiles allow automatic switching between providers, for example on weak signal, reached data limit, roaming or denied network registration. In addition, Ethernet WAN, Wi-Fi WAN and VRRP are available as failover paths, complemented by load balancing across multiple WAN connections.
Network, Wi-Fi and Interfaces
Four Gigabit Ethernet ports (1x WAN, 3x LAN) support port-based and tag-based VLANs. The dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO reaches up to 867 Mbit/s and serves up to 150 simultaneous connections, either as an access point or as a station. Bluetooth 5.0 LE, a USB 2.0 port for storage, printers or serial adapters, and one digital input and one digital output on the power connector complete the feature set. For positioning and time reference, a GNSS receiver for GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS is integrated, including geofencing and NMEA 0183.
Security and VPN
RutOS provides a complete firewall with DMZ, NAT, NAT-T and NAT64, attack prevention against SYN flood, port scans and SSH attacks, as well as 802.1x and RADIUS integration. Available VPN technologies include WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, SSTP, DMVPN, ZeroTier, Tinc and Tailscale. The RUTX11 24 version additionally includes a TPM 2.0 module for secure identification and authentication.
Industrial Protocols and Cloud
For automation and energy applications, the router supports Modbus TCP and RTU as server and client, MQTT broker and publisher, the Modbus MQTT gateway, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, BACnet and OPC UA as client and server. The Data to Server function sends measured values from various sources to HTTP(S), MQTT or Azure MQTT endpoints, with custom Lua scripts if required. The RUTX11 can be connected to the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS) as well as to Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, Cumulocity or ThingWorx.
Design, Mounting and Operation
The anodized aluminum housing measures 115 x 44.2 x 95.1 mm, weighs 456 g and operates in a temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C. Power is supplied via a 4-pin industrial connector with 9 to 50 VDC, or alternatively via passive PoE on the LAN1 port, with a maximum power consumption of 16 W. Mounting kits for DIN rail, wall or flat surface mounting are available separately. Approvals include CE/RED, UKCA, EAC, ECE R10 (E-Mark) and EN 50155, among others.
Applications
Typical applications include connecting branch offices and POS systems, remote maintenance of machines and plants, energy and utility networks, transport and smart city infrastructure, and mobile installations in vehicles. On request, we can put together suitable cellular and Wi-Fi antennas, cables and mounting accessories together with the router.
