The combination of the MinePoynt long-distance thru-tunnel beam antennas with this directional antenna leverages Poynting's fifteen years of experience in designing and manufacturing antennas for underground data networks. The HELI-3-IS is an intrinsically safe (IS) antenna with a high-impedance, non-static radome. This antenna is also suitable for oil/gas chemical environments where IS equipment is required. HELI-3-IS is a unidirectional antenna, while the closely related HELI-8 is a bidirectional antenna. With the HELI-3-IS you get a cost-effective network infrastructure for the current voice and data needs in mines and tunnels.
