The B4BE-460-6-60-5SP is a cost effective omni-directional broadband antenna for 4G and 5G devices that also covers the UHF range from 410 MHz. It suits wall, mast, cabinet and enclosure installation and can be used externally or internally. This makes it a SiSo solution for routers, gateways and radio applications that need a wide frequency range covered by a single antenna.

Frequency range and gain

The antenna operates across 410-520 MHz, 617-960 MHz and 1427-6000 MHz. Typical peak gain is 3.7 dBi (410-520 MHz), 5.0 dBi (617-960 MHz), 8.5 dBi (1427-2700 MHz) and 9.6 dBi (3300-6000 MHz), measured on a 600 x 600 mm ground plane with 300 mm of CS32 cable. Typical VSWR is below 2.5:1, impedance is 50 ohm and maximum input power is 60 W. Besides LTE and 5G bands, the antenna can also be used as a UHF antenna or as a dualband UHF / 7/800 MHz antenna for PMR applications.

Radiation pattern

The omni-directional pattern with vertical polarisation allows the antenna to be placed in an elevated position without directional alignment. This simplifies installation on masts, facades and vehicles and reduces commissioning effort.

Housing and mounting

The black radome is moulded in ASA, the angle bracket is made of aluminium and zinc plated steel. The radome material is listed to UL 746C F2 and UL 94-HB. With an IP66 ingress protection rating and an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C, the antenna is designed for outdoor use. The bracket allows wall and panel mounting with the supplied screws and wall plugs, or mast mounting using a pipe clip or cable ties, which are not supplied.

Cable and connector

The -5SP version ships with 5 m of ultra-low loss, double shielded CS32 coaxial cable, 5 mm in diameter, terminated with an SMA plug. Further cable lengths and connector options are available within the B4BE-460-6-60 range.

Typical applications include cellular connectivity for cabinets and vending machines, telemetry and remote control installations, vehicle and fleet applications, construction site logistics as well as UHF and PMR radio links from an elevated mounting point.
