The Panorama Megalodon LG-IN2902 is a low-profile, high-performance combination antenna in a rugged dome housing for demanding mobile and transport applications. It combines 8x8 MiMo cellular (4G/5G), GPS and 6x2x2 MiMo WiFi in a single housing and is well suited for running two 4G/5G modems at the same time as well as for WiFi 6e/7 capable routers. Available in black (LG-IN2902) and white (LG-IN2902-W).

Antenna Technology and Gain

The eight cellular elements cover all global frequency bands from 617 MHz to 6000 MHz. Gain reaches up to 3 dBi in the sub-GHz range and up to 8 dBi in the 4400-6000 MHz band. The six WiFi elements support 2.4 GHz to 7.2 GHz (WiFi 6e/7) with a gain of up to 7 dBi. The GPS module operates on L1 (1559-1612 MHz) with an LNA gain of 26 dB and provides band rejection of more than 50 dB at 787 MHz for interference-free reception.

Cables and Connectors

The antenna comes with pre-assembled, flame-retardant CS30 cables (UN ECE R118). All cables are 5 m long. The cellular connectors are SMA male, and the GPS cable also uses an SMA male connector. The WiFi connectors are Reverse Polarity SMA, which makes it easy to connect the antenna directly to WiFi routers and access points.

Housing and Protection Rating

The low-profile dome housing is designed for panel mounting (max. panel thickness 7 mm, mounting hole 25 mm). It is rated IP69K for maximum protection against high-pressure water jets and IK10 for vandal resistance. The radome is halogen-free and flame-retardant. The operating temperature range is -40 to +80 °C.

Applications

Typical applications include public transport (bus, rail, ship), fleet management, mobile command centers, emergency vehicles and industrial vehicle applications. Because several functions are combined in a single antenna, installation effort is significantly reduced, which makes the LG-IN2902 a strong choice for space-saving installations.
