The Perseus Monitoring 155 TSet is HW group’s LTE-enabled 1U rack monitoring platform for data centers, server cabinets, telecommunications sites, and AV installations. The device combines LAN as the primary connection with an integrated LTE modem as a backup—in the event of an Ethernet failure, alerts via SMS, phone call, and portal connection remain fully operational. In addition to the base unit, the TSet includes a 3-meter IP67 temperature sensor, a quad-band LTE pigtail antenna, and a universal 12V/1.5A power supply. No SIM card included.
Eight RJ11 ports accommodate 1-Wire UNI sensors from HW group (temperature, humidity, current, voltage, and much more; max. 100 external sensors). Third-party Modbus/RTU sensors can be integrated via RS-485. 16 digital inputs (DI) for dry contacts allow the connection of smoke detectors, door contacts, fan failure detectors, and other detectors. Four relay outputs (DO) directly control external actuators such as air conditioning units, ventilation systems, or access systems. A WLD zone input detects water leaks via external sensing cables up to 185 m in length.
In the event of an Ethernet failure, the integrated LTE modem automatically takes over the connection to the SensDesk portal and to alarm recipients. It also serves as an SMS gateway for the Perseus 155 itself and for other HW-group devices on the same network—without the need for external gateway hardware. SMS alerts, calls, and email notifications can be sent directly from the device.
The Meters API reads sensor values from other LAN devices (e.g., STE2 r2, SNMP-enabled UPS, air conditioning units via Modbus/RTU) and links this data with its own measurements for complex alarm logic. The integrated data logger stores over 250,000 measurement values, which can be exported via HWg-PDMS or used for long-term analysis. Lua scripting, schedulers, and virtual sensors enable custom automation without external software.
All measured values are accessible via Open API: SNMP (v1/v2/v3), MQTT, Modbus/TCP, and XML. Integration with SensDesk (fee-based) or HWg-Cloud (free) enables graphs, device status alerts, PDF reports, and SCADA connectivity. Security features include HTTPS, SNMPv3, RADIUS (IEEE 802.1X), and IPv6. Remote access via integrated web server or HWg Monitor app (iOS/Android).
