The Perseus Monitoring 150 Rack TSet is the fully equipped rack-mount version of HW group’s professional 1U monitoring platform for data centers, server cabinets, and AV installations. The device monitors up to 1,000 variables via LAN and integrates external sensors, detectors, and third-party devices into a central alarm and automation system. In addition to the base unit, the Rack TSet includes all components for immediate 19" mounting and commissioning: RM2 rack mounts (19"), WLD sensor cables Type A (2+2 m), 19" rack temperature sensor (Temp-1Wire Rack19), MK4 door contact, and a universal power supply 12V/1.5A.

Sensors and Interfaces

Eight RJ11 ports accommodate 1-Wire UNI sensors from the HW group (temperature, humidity, current, voltage, and much more; max. 100 external sensors). Third-party Modbus/RTU sensors can be integrated via RS-485. 16 digital inputs (DI) for dry contacts allow the connection of smoke detectors, door contacts, fan failure detectors, and other detectors. Four relay outputs (DO) directly control external actuators such as air conditioning systems, ventilation systems, or access control systems. A WLD zone input detects water leaks via external sensing cables.

Rack Mounting and Power Supply

The included RM2 rack mounts allow for direct 19" mounting in a 1U format without additional accessories. The Perseus 150 is powered by 9–30 V DC, -48 V DC, or PoE (IEEE 802.3af), making it suitable for a wide variety of rack and telecommunications environments. Operating temperature: -30 to +65 °C. Note: For SMS and voice alerts, an external SMS gateway (e.g., SMS-G3) is required, or the Perseus Monitoring 155 with an integrated LTE modem must be used.

Meters API and Data Aggregation

The Meters API reads sensor values from other LAN devices (e.g., STE2 r2, SNMP-enabled UPS, air conditioning units via Modbus/RTU) and links this data with its own measurements for complex alarm logic. Lua scripting, schedulers, and virtual sensors enable custom automation without external software. The integrated data logger stores over 250,000 measurement values for long-term analysis and compliance reporting.

Protocols and Cloud Integration

All measurement values are accessible via Open API: SNMP (v1/v2/v3), MQTT, Modbus/TCP, and XML. Integration with SensDesk (fee-based) or HWg-Cloud (free) enables graphs, device status alerts, PDF reports, and SCADA connectivity. Security features include HTTPS, SNMPv3, RADIUS (IEEE 802.1X), and IPv6. Remote access via the integrated web server or the HWg Monitor app (iOS/Android).
