To enable access, you build your own network with VPN, into which the router dials in. This way not only the router becomes accessible. You also gain access to all network devices connected behind it, such as controllers, IP cameras or data loggers. If you then dial into the same network with a PC for remote maintenance, then you have a connection to all devices with this.
